Summary: A thrilling, fast-paced novel of romantic suspense from
sensational New York Times and USA Todaybestselling
author Linda Howard.
The part-time police chief of a small West Virginian mountain town, Isabeau “Bo” Maran finally has her life figured out. She’s got friends, a dog, and a little money in the bank. Then Morgan Yancy shows up on her doorstep. Bo doesn’t need a mysterious man in her life—especially a troublemaker as enticing and secretive as Morgan. The harder they fight the intense heat between them, the closer Morgan and Bo become, even though she knows he’s hiding from something. But discovering the truth could cost Bo more than she’s willing to give. And when Morgan’s cover is blown, it might just cost her life.
Angie’s comments: There are a few moments of suspense, but mostly the book was
about the residents of the small town and Bo’s dog Tricks. Tricks is one of the
main focuses of the book, so you must love dogs if you read this book. More
than anything, it was a cute read with humorous moments provided by Tricks and
the town citizens.

The Best Medicine
Summary: Everyone in Bell Harbor thinks career-minded plastic surgeon
Evelyn Rhoades needs a husband. Everyone, that is, except for Evelyn…sort of.
Even if she did want a husband (which she doesn’t…most of the time), she’d
never let something as intangible as fate determine who she marries. No, if
she’s going to find someone to spend her life with, she’ll do it
scientifically: with a carefully crafted list of criteria and an Internet
dating site.
But Tyler knows firsthand how the best-laid plans can crumble under the weight of destiny. Now all he needs to do is to teach Evelyn that, in matters of the heart, love often supersedes logic.
Angie’s comments: This was a cute romance with some sizzle and humor. Evelyn
tries hard to stick to her plan, but luckily Tyler is there. Great if you want
a light, funny romance.
Recommended for readers of contemporary romance
filled with humor.

Ink and Bone
Summary: A young woman's mysterious
gift forces her into the middle of a dangerous investigation of a little girl's
disappearance.
Twenty-year-old Finley Montgomery is rarely alone. Visited by people whom others can't see and haunted by prophetic dreams, she has never been able to control or understand the things that happen to her. When Finley's abilities start to become too strong for her to handle - and even the roar of her motorcycle or another dazzling tattoo can't drown out the voices - she turns to the only person she knows who can help her: her grandmother Eloise Montgomery, a renowned psychic living in The Hollows, New York. Merri Gleason is a woman at the end of her tether after a ten-month-long search for her missing daughter, Abbey. With almost every hope exhausted, she resorts to hiring Jones Cooper, a detective who sometimes works with psychic Eloise Montgomery. Merri's not a believer, but she's just desperate enough to go down that road, praying that she's not too late. Time, she knows, is running out. As a harsh white winter moves into The Hollows, Finley and Eloise are drawn into the investigation, which proves to have much more at stake than even the fate of a missing girl. As Finley digs deeper into the town and its endless layers, she is forced to examine the past, even as she tries to look into the future. Only one thing is clear: The Hollows gets what it wants, no matter what.
Angie’s comments: This is a mix of mystery, horror and paranormal. Compared to
the real horror, the paranormal seems rather normal. It is about family,
relationships, and finding your path. A
haunting story.
Recommended for readers of mysteries.
